GPX trully believes that "It's not Just the Cars, Its the People"

GPX provides a friendly atmosphere where member can share Ideas to make the Prosche ownership an enjoyable experience for all. We welcome and encourage activies that will achieve this goal.

The Grand Prix Region

The Grand Prix Region of the Porsche Club of America received its Charter on February 7, 1981. We are one of 13 regions within Zone8 of PCA. The Region was formed to promote more driving events so that its members can learn to enjoy the Porsche Mark the way it was intended to be enjoyed. We put on driving Events, Time trials, and Concours D' Elegance each year. We also take time to get together to socialize, with events such as Holiday Parties and Octoberfest BBQ's.

The Grand Prix Region of PCA Zone 8 covers the area of Long Beach, South Bay, and Los Angeles County. We are a Region with 600 members. The attraction to join GPX is the various activities and the friendlyness of its members. The club meets on the first Saturday of each month at Frisco's Carhop Restaurant and Grill in Long Beach at 9:00 am. A buffet breakfast is provided for a nominal fee.

Our President conducts meetings where information on future events and past event results are presented. All new Members are personally acknowleged at each meeting by the Membership commitee. A raffle of donated Porsche items are often conducted at our meeting.

GPX tries and has been very successful in porviding excellent after meeting Tech sessions. The Tech sessions usually provide an increased knowlege of Porsche repair and maintenance. We occasionally will have a tech sessions that are not related to Porsches, but the session provides technical knowledge of machinery we often see and wonder about "How does that really work?". Our Tech Session to L A Helicopter is just one example.
